Takeover Rumours

There's 4 of them for starters so that's £100m each (if equal shares). Now take away the millions they'll be investing, say £200m and also take away the original £40m then that's a £40m return each over 5 years or £8m a year.

So now do you really think the main reason they're in it is just for the money? Of course not, it's something bigger than just buying a club cheap in the hope of selling big in a few years. It's the potential legacy of bringing a sleeping club. a community and area back to life by bringing investment/development/regeneration into the stadium, area around the stadium and possibly further areas in and around Sunderland.

It's been hinted at by Reiver and if this takeover finally happens I think it's more than just a few blokes wanting to make a few million quid pocket change buying a club on the cheap and selling in a few years once they get back to the Premier League.
We’re gonna have a Disney land at roker?

Also gives them a business in the UK. They probably have a couple of investments already but sets them up well for Brexit as mentioned by another poster earlier.

This is the more likely reason imo. Rather than 'bringing a community area back to life', and 'waking a sleeping giant' being a reason, I think they're more of a cause.
