You can get it if you're over 60, or have been a member for more than 30 years, the proviso is that you have to be fully retired. This precludes providing either unpaid or paid professional service, with the exception of charity trusteeships (which is how I cna carry on as trasurer of my choir).

Every day’s a school day!

I watch that Bumblebee poster get all kinds of shit on here and if you go back, he’s probably right 99% of the time. I use to be like a lot of posters on here and would give a sideways look at yours and Super Colin Todd posts...but after the last 5 years or so, it’s delusional anymore to think we are a good club, with good players playing good football. If this position isn’t a wake up call then there will never be one.

We're a great club who have been badly run.

I think he gets a lot of harsh stick considering results wise we are doing ok. The fact he’s still coming in for criticism after wins when we’ve had the likes of Coleman getting smoke blown up his arse by fans/the press when we were losing every week is bizarre. After a slow start we’ve won 6/7 in all comps.
Coleman was this clown is in the 3rd div and producing mind numbing footy.

There's seems to be some posts about things happening over the next few days.

Well, funnily enough… I'm not in an ITK – and I'm not pretending to be one now, either – but there's a lad I know [kids go to the same school – not in Sunderland or anywhere remotely close] who has been involved around the club in an indirect marketing and PR capacity for the past year or so.

He's not a Sunderland fan, but I've been to a few games with him and met Juan and Tony D through him in that time [yes, yes, I know – but my background is journalism and marketing myself for over 25 years and I'm afraid you really do get rather blasé about meeting people like that].

Not seen this lad for a few weeks but did so at school this morning and he's been told by his boss to keep this Thursday free for a 'big announcement' at Sunderland. Acknowledged it was about potential investment but says knows nothing more [and I believe him – I mentioned names of who may be behind it and he looked at me utterly non-plussed]. So, if you are prepared to believe yet more wild conjecture, that's potentially another bit of kindle added to the raging investment inferno.

Gerrin cheers Reiver

I agree, but there’s some on here if you are critical of how things are going, you’re a mag or you’re not a true fan. There are posters who take a lot of shit who have been spot on for years...

Your a supporter not a shareholder. Life as a supporter can’t all be bad or why bother.
"I praised the owners for putting money where mouth was last season after initially being a bit cautious over them."
27 January 2019 "It’s beginning to look like they are a Couple of chancers on an ego trip "
Praise indeed.

I believe you.

Anyone remotely thinking that this takeover isn’t happening is delusional.
I’m proper excited, I want ambition and I want long term goals.
Ha’way the Dell boys

Well that's what he has said after a lot of criticism from a large proportion of the fan base.

Their chairman said this:

Oh, I’ve spoke to Richard...”, I said ‘Did the Marcus thing come up?’ he said ‘yeah, I said your manager likes him, is there any interest?’ and Richard said to Barry along the lines of ‘We don’t rate him, I don’t anyway and there is no way that we will be bidding for Marcus Maddison'

So we don't know either way for sure.

But you’re still happy to identify him as the one that doesn’t rate Maddison ?

I find it easier to believe everything rather than the opposite. Makes things more exciting.

Taking grigg out the picture for whom we all know we paid massively over the top for i really don’t buy the above quote about the money ross has spent being more than most of league one put together

Happy to be proven wrong
Most teams spend nowt in this league. Even taking the Grigg transfer out of it we contributed to about a third of all of the transfer outlay last season. Only a handful of clubs spent anything at all. Take into account he already had maja, mcgeady, cattermole, oviedo etc on the wage bill which forms part of the budget he blew the others out of the water with what he had to work with.

Certainly fits with GOM about pulling things together in 2-3 days.

Nixon also saying a push to get it done this week.

Fingers crossed.
