I doubt even the parties involved will know when it will be completed until they all come together to plan the announcement. Mainly because, there are many different aspects of the deal from both sides including 3rd, 4th and 5 th parties, who can/ will not give an accurate timescale for their part to be completed.

I very much doubt it as he reported a post and was banned as a result.

He claimed this was a done deal 3 weeks ago and still nothing confirmed. I think it may happen but it’s safe to say it wasn’t done 3 weeks ago if still nothing announced now.

He then claimed he’d been told it would be announced 2 Fridays ago. Again still nothing.

The rest of the stuff has been a lot of name dropping with vague comments about how he cant say too much (insert winky emoji).

He’s pretty much posted on this thread non stop without really saying anything.

Life goes on and I’m sure people will get over yet another reiver banning.

There was a piece in the Echo online yesterday with exactly those words. “Takeover remains on course, no problems envisaged but it won’t be concluded this week”

He’s gambled by saying the deal is done which once there’s an interested party there’s always a chance that it will happen. If you happen to be the eternal optimist which to be fair he is you just say it’s done and if you’re wrong then all he was doing was hoping for best for his club etc etc.

As you say nothing he’s said hadn’t already been reported yet people on here have been handing on his every word which when dig a bit deeper hasn’t really been up to much.

Of course by saying it’s done etc it’s telling people what they want to hear so anyone questioning it will be quickly shouted down as has been shown on this thread.

The fact is as fans we are all desperate for this to happen as it could herald an exciting new era but personally speaking the ramblings of some random bloke on a forum isn’t something I’m going to place a great deal of stock in.

Seemed to have taken over his life this thread. Replied to almost everyone. For what it's worth it believe everything is/was genuine. Others,who tend to be the same posters that I've seen on here over the years are just boring killjoys!

He might be a great bloke but imo he posts things like this so he can get people singing from the same eternal optimist song sheet he sings from.
Ndong was another example. Nobody knew anything of him but reiver lived in France so saw a lot of him (because you’d obviously watch a lot of lorient) and assured us he was the goods. Cue optimism and people now excited over the new record signing.

Turned out reiver had moved back to England the season ndong was in France.

He probably says things for right reasons in terms of trying to make people feel better about things but I wouldn’t take a great deal of notice of him personally.
