Takeover Rumours

Goals often come from players making mistakes, though. That’s just how football works.

I know what you’re trying to say, but it doesn’t really matter how goals come, the fact is we finished 3 chances and that was enough to win the game.

Don't get me wrong, I'll take any goal we get. Not all goals come from such glaring errors though although they will be increased due to the standard. Ie Gooch giving the ball way just inside theor half and them breaking and scoring isn't as catastrophic as their defender giving it to our striker to put him through on goal.

We seem overly reliant on these sorts of mistakes and when we play sides of a better level such as Peterborough we don't score. We need to be more proactive. Having strikers who can't score isn't helping things, mind but we are fortunate we have players like Mcgeady/Maguire who can at least force these mistakes and if presented with them, take them quite comfortably.
Yip.

Think al jump off the bridge.

If there's any room.

Strange comment.

I thought I'd explained it reasonably well but here goes again.

A post by another member was deleted for some unspecified reason.

Time permitting, moderators try to remove all references to deleted posts.

You quoted the deleted post in a subsequent reply and your post was therefore deleted for the reason of repetition.

As I said earlier, on this occasion you were simply collateral damage.

Judging by the sheer volume of moderation this thread has required, I suspect a lot of members, for one reason or another have been in the same boat.

Father in law reckons Donald and the new owners were staying at the George Washington Hotel last week. I assume (if there’s any truth in it) it’ll have been the legal bods representing the Dell boys.

I’m far from a doom merchant but can’t help feel that the longer this drags on the more likely of it failing. I have no idea how long takeovers of any kind take and if this is all perfectly natural.

Relax. My chief dots the I's and crosses the T's on global accusations. It's normally at least 6 weeks from him mysteriously being out of the office to announcement. Different industries and all that but everything suggests this is past the point of no return.

We aren’t in the championship.

Why do people insist that we shouldn’t sign him because he hasn’t proven himself in the championship, when we’re still barely inside the playoffs in the division below? Mental.
I'm not saying that we shouldn't sign him.

What i'm saying is that given his apparent ability, the fact that championship clubs haven't been sniffing around him rings alarm bells.

Maybe SAFC had considered making a move for him but there was something about his character that put them off.

As a side note, if we're looking at any player for 2.5m it should be with an eye to competing in the league above as well.

You're missing the point mate, I'm talking about pre-purchase not post-purchase.

This is more to do with the new lads asking for the pure dope on the club, not the few scraps Mourinho or Wenger would know.

No, I’m talking pre-purchase also...I’m talking about a year pre-purchase.
