Yeah so they're lost to us aren't they.

I'm fully aware they are retained and why.

Im pointing out the absurdity of you saying failing to win something you can't share is somehow not a loss.

And they're still lost to us.

You get literally nothing more for drawing an Ashes series than losing it if you don't have the urn at the start of it, is my point.

Trying to twist a draw as having more merit just comes across as Sour Grapes. The whole point is its a ruthless series: if you can't get the Urn back you get nothing.
