Your whole essence, your whole being, your hairstyles over the years

First haircut I remember getting was a “Brian Connolly” off The Sweet.

In my teens I discovered henna which helped With my spikey Ziggy look inc shaved eyebrows! From there I had a bit of a “Phil Oakey” followed by bleach blonde and a disastrous perm.

Stayed blonde for a bit. This was early 80’s and used to get called Lady Di !

Cut it short but still blonde - what my Dad used to call my “lesbian haircut”

Experimented with red and short then grew it and went back to blonde which is what it is now - mid length but sometimes I whack some pink in. Not seen my natural hair colour for 30 years and now my roots are coming through grey I’m not about to embrace the look. In my head I’m still 25.
I had a lesbian haircut for some time. Just short and a bit shaved at the back, but teamed with large hoop earrings, red lippy and doc martens. I got hit on by so many women, if I'd actually been a lesbian I'd have been a very popular one. No bloke at that point either. 😄

I know its just a joke man, there was a campaign on facebook to cull gingers to get them out of the gene pool. Last ginger standing wins a lifetime supply of hair dye. I made that last bit up but there have been a few ginger memes kicking about. I still laugh even though I'm a ginger myself its nowt to be ashamed of.

Lego with straight fringe since 1971.
Admirable consistency. Similar for me. A solid bowl cut template has always seen me through (punctured only by a minor adaptation to match my hero Boris Becker from ‘85 (aged 9) and aged 13 shaving it all off, after an entrepreneurial kid attempted to cut in a wedge and undercut using the scissors on a Swiss Army knife and a bic razor on a bumpy mini bus journey. ) Though reading this thread I am wondering if it isn’t time for a new style....

Home made cuts are the future

As a very young bairn, up to the age of 5, (1963-68) I had short blonde hair.

My hair then turned brown, and from the ages of 10 to 15, (1973-78) it was collar length, with a bit of a short fringe going on.

Aged 15, (1978-79). I got it dyded, dark red, and had it spiked, because of my love of Punk music, and the clobber of that era.

Aged 16, (1979 to present day) I finally seen the light, and got a style, that was smart, casual, and cool as fuck, and needed no fussing, - I got a skinhead, (right down to the wood - No comb attatchments on the Wahl) and have kept it that way, ever since (am 56 now)

I've had many regrets in life, but one thing I certainly don't regret, is my steadfast decision, to avoid getting a perm, tips, or tints, at all costs.
The Keegoon style, perm, was an absolute clusterfuck, as far as 'mens' hairstyles, go.
Seeing many of my mates at that time, going about their business, and looking like Shirley Temple, was very hard to bear.

Mate of mine had one done when we were both around 15 years, so 81/82. He looked like a prize prick.
