Takeover Rumours

For the decent people on here, this is the latest message I've received, last night, below in bold.

For the rest.

Please tell me how I could've invented a story, two weeks back, that an art dealer who supplies his friend Glenn Fuhrman had shown me a WhatsApp message, at his home, confirming he'd bought the club.
I posted that information, as fact, on the board. I also posted that the owners would be arriving for the 'Burton game' which subsequently happened. I said Donald would be flying up to meet them which was subsequently confirmed. Shouting 'liar' might carry some weight if any of you had proved me wrong or posted the slightest piece of contradictory evidence. But, in reality, you have nothing but feet stamping and toy throwing. It's obvious that some of you, for whatever sick reasons, are desperate for this takeover to fail. Either that or you get your kicks out of posting infantile drivel on a chat for. I won't be interrogated on here by a small bunch of bitter losers ... If anyone wants to call me a liar to my face I'm at your disposal.

“Things still going really well and hopefully an announcement next week but common sense tells you that both sides have been instructed by the lawyers to keep their mouths shut until it’s made official via an official media conference as the current silence from SAFC’s hierarchy is absolutely deafening.
Although Jack Ross refered to having talked to some of the new owners in his pre Accrington media conference today, it generally seems as if the whole club is in lockdown although they’re going to have to come above ground for Accrington on Saturday. It will be interesting to see how many media bods raise the takeover question in the lead up to the game and in the post match media conference with management and players, because it will be beyond belief if the subject does not get raised and would suggest that there is some sort of media embargo in place forbidding questions on the subject. It’s happening, it’s close”.
Cheers, always appreciate anyone who provides info in good faith, whether it comes off or not. Without these snippets of info this board would be as exciting as the mag boards.

Just wish the doom mongers would also provide their info when claiming the worst has happened, rather than saying “it’s off” simply because it’s taking more than a few weeks to complete.

Mad as a box of frogs rolling down a hill you lot... potentially best news ever, total game changer, putting us in to a position to actually win something (I was born in '76)... So the SMB's reaction; have a fight and call each other a mag.

Gangbangers? You've gotta luv 'em!
Mag gravy dribbler alert!!!!

Are you a disciple of the Grand Temple of Riv?

Or a follower of the Cult of Desperandum?

There's some of us that want to believe (and do) and want to go to games that can't for various reasons (mine being distance) as well marra.

Of course mate, I was hoping that wouldn't come across badly.

I've just noticed that the bitterest whingers are those who have no one to go to the match with despite often living quite close.

The worst flak I get is when I'm off to a game, like tomorrow, and having a laugh with other posters I'm meeting up with.

The jealousy must eat some of these losers up ;)

Thanks for the information mate, much appreciated

I know we have to go back to something like page 1299, 15 hours and several hundred posts to look at one talking about me and my "dyspraxia" developmental disorder (it isn't a difficulty. That I think is the non-PC name now. Because I certainly haven't had any difficulty achieving certain life tasks like flying, getting a job and learning to drive. Although I have had to go about them in a different way and with less ease than most which is why I see them as more a set of 'barriers'), and how you all ought to treat me and these posts have largely been forgotten under all following posts. But I feel I need to reply with a rare one. Till I do reply this topic in the thread cannot be tied off.

In this case I don't feel we are talking about my "dyspraxia". I do feel we are perhaps talking about a personal weakness. The bet thing I think is more to do with the fact I perhaps am easily coerced. Easily influenced. Easily led. I am all to aware of the symptoms of Dyspraxia and this does not tally with any of those.

The feeling this deal may not be done may simply be the fact I am a very pessimistic person. I don't think that there is anything wrong with it. We all react differently to scenarios. When it comes to situations where things are not going well it just happened that I did not fall into the category of a person who is optimistic. No matter how bad the situation is or how long the situation hasn't been going well, such people still think something good will happen to turn it all around. I am not like that.
Theres plenty of pessimistic fans in our support, your not alone.

I'm impressed you can fly though, you couldve been flying our new owners in from USA.;)

Suprised at everyone wanting Ross sacked like. Dont think his footballs great but its down to the players. People keep saying ‘this teams better than this league’, its really not, its slow, boring and aging. I dont think for one minute Ross wants us playing like this *tin hat on*

I think the failure of last season was more like a collective responsibility, to be fair, between Ross, his coaching staff, the players, Hill, Coton etc. Can't blame it on one person.

Having said that, only 22 wins & bloody 19 draws from 46 in League One was undeniably appalling. Something needs to change.

No offence taken mate and i understood what you were saying.

Bit like those fella's who have never had a girlfriend/wife seem to be the first to "brag" about their "freedom" ;)

Appreciate the info mate.

It's just a good thing that football is back and there's a few games coming up to take our minds off this take over. Saving no games hasn't helped.

It's obviously a longer process than we first thought. I hoped for good news today to head into the coming games with but we're going to have to be patient that little bit longer.

Be interesting to see how we play tomorrow now that Ross has spoken to some of the new owners.
