Heard from a close relative of someone high up in the club that the delay has been caused due to negotiations of SD's position within the club and where he'll fit/what he'll do.

Could have possibly just had enough of people asking him though and thought 'I'll just tell him this so he'll leave me alone'.

@Reiver might be able to confirm.
