Takeover Rumours

I've no more particular thoughts about Barnes than the 'Mags in peace' who come on and smile but can barely disguise their dislike of Sunderland supporters ...

... in their defence at least the Mags aren't sponging a living from who sneer at in private.

Barry Dunne
No problem mate. Im not a massive fan of BBC North though generally dont find Barnes too offensive but appreciate it its all about opinions. Im definitely not a fan of that Mag In Peace who comes on here...he is a snidey piece of work.

Was at St James's on Rowell hat trick day didn't Entwhistle score the other goal to add to the mag's misery !!!
Is it an urban myth that the NUFC dj played "Tragedy" by the Bee Gee's first record at full time. Can't remember if it is true.

Just been pushing people for something to post that would indicate progress.

The following, from someone well connected, is typical of the responses.

Sorry but this is the best I can do.

“There definitely seems to be something going on that’s connected with the takeover as the whole club is so bloody quiet and non commital.
It’s like waiting for an explosion that you know is coming and can’t stop, to go off!"

Non commital  Players included

Gerry Harrison. Remember him playing once, might have been a cup game at the SOL. When he was subbed I can remember someone shouting as he walked off 'you better take a good look at him now as you won't be seeing him again' - and he was right.

Can I ask why? Aren't they supposed to be a bunch of lads just writing independant thoughts on the club they support. That goes for ALS as well. Be a real shame if they ended up towing the corporate line so they can be fed scraps by the club.
Because they will potentially be the go to place on the web for info on one of the biggest clubs in Europe should everything go to plan... rather than some League 1 has-been. They have been there from the beginning of the new chapter - close to the ownership in a way that no media outlet has been since pre-short era and beyond due to SD and CM's willingness to be open and reach out. We wouldn't be debating them if they hadn't been taken seriously by the club elevating their stature already. I don't think anyone is suggesting that they be a total puppet for the club but they don't want to be cast aside for something now I'm sure.

The question is why would they risk all of that by p*ssing off the club just as things could take off? They've obviously heard something (as have ALS) to make them confident.

I will add that personally I feel as sure as you can feel without being certain that it'll go through (with only this board and media as my source), I don't doubt the authenticity of @Reiver in any way at all.. but the Fat Lady... or Fat Sam.. hasn't sung yet and as others say, I won't get rid of the sense of impending disappointment, doom and typical Sunderlandness until it's cast in stone and publicly announced.

I hope all the decent posters hold their nerve on here, and don't fall into the ban trap. Especially when we are within touching distance of this going through. Make sure you are all on here to enjoy the moment together with the rest of us, when it comes.

NOTE:If anyone want's to try to ask how i would know that? What's my source etc etc keep it to yourselves, as i'm going off what i have read on here, RR etc and that will do me
