Never been before , so looking for recommendations as to the preferred restaurant therein. King Neptune looks canny according to Tripadvisor ?

Landmark is the nicest inside, although style over substance for me.

But king Neptune probbaly the best imho - Reds Diner also very good.
The best Chinese in Newcastle was Hei Hei on Dean Street but it's now reopened as a Korean BBQ which I think is average :(

Correct about hei hei - it was superb, shame
King Neptune excellent I mentioned this on another thread today about Newcastle restaurants
My wife is Chinese (no) and we regularly go with family and always go to Sky
Never been but heads it’s nice

King Neptune is probs the best if you like an “English style” Chinese. Chicken and Sweetcorn soup, egg fried rice and the like. For authentic food Sky is probably the best - or there’s one down the bottom end that does Dim Sum that’s excellent as well. Forget it’s name though.
