😂😂😂

You do remember the state of the football club before SD + CM turned up don’t you? You remember how many pro footballers we had on the books after relegation? We didn’t get promoted, but we got within 90 minutes of it. Considering the state of the place it wasn’t a *bad* season despite what history will say. SD needs to be judged at the end of this season, in terms of league placing, and encouraging further investment. In one of those, he seems to have the bases covered. 😀I believe we’ll see improvement in the other this season too.

Dismissing SD as an amateur and know-nowt is disrespectful in the extreme. He’s just sold a £10m insurance company he built from scratch, and looks like he’s about to pull a once-in-a-lifetime deal off.
I have not called into question his personal businesses.

Am not going over the whole last 12-18 months or so. What I will say is that I won’t ever be saying austerity is a good thing.

i think he will be more of a figurehead chairman and they will do what John Henry has done at Liverpool and brought in absolute proven people to run the football and commercial sides
As I hinted upthread about a million views back I’d love to see the ex-Soton feller Cortese here. He lived in Hampshire, Reiver has/does anarl, Eastleighs in Hants anarl. I’ve no idea what Corteses doing now but can you imagine the team they’d have if they could’ve hung on to everyone they’ve sold since starting to climb back from the division we’re in now?

Is the marina big enough for the super yachts?
Nowt to report again today, things are so quiet it's like the old mine shaft has opened up and swallowed the SOL ...

... can someone pop round and check
Like an episode of Skippy.

So what you're saying is that there's no point being on here all day and I should do some actual work?

Charlton couldn’t even put a bench out against us and got promoted.

Barnsley installed their new manager after Ross, signed more players than us and got promoted.

Luton spent nothing and got promoted.

Ross had the biggest transfer budget, a full preseason, the biggest squad, the best training facilities, best infrastructure and the best player in the league and got us 5th. An owner who says he “doesn’t believe” in data analytics and instead prefers to sign Coton and Hill because one of them is his mate and the other who scouted for Villa, signing such fantastic players as Ross McCormack, Joleon Lescott and Micah Richards.

We call them stottie cakes here marra.

Also if I remember correctly, he gave away Eastleigh after spending around £10m on it. As I said in an earlier post, he’s also a football fan and will do what’s best for the club. Always comes across as a genuine bloke to me who gives his all, hope he makes a fortune whilst he’s here for all the work he’s put in.

Your the man itk - whats going on then ?

As I've said, there's a total breakdown in the bush telegraph, the drummers must be exhausted.

The club are drip feeding bits to the fanzines, etc but nothing of any consequence.

The lad who's close to the heart of it all is bored of me asking because he either can't or won't tell me anything ...

... he's an MLF so just as frustrated as any of us.

I could make summat up, to placate people but sadly we just have to wait. If that's disappointing then I understand.

I was stuck outside. It was the only game, home or away that I missed that season. f***ing part timers
I has a season ticket so was fine...probably first night I truly realised how big the club could be. What an atmosphere.

47,000 inside Roker Park (a very conservative estimate) and thousands locked out.

On a takeover note if ever our new investors (please announce it soon before I loose my wife and job!!!) need to know how big this club could become if they got it even half right they just need to look at this game.
