I used to love running.
When I was 13 years old, I'd finish school and run 10,000 metres around the school track, and then play footy for an hour with my mates, before I even got home for my tea.

Did 2hr 10, bit cheesed off as was looking for sub 2hr but I got stuck in “human traffic” from Felling.
First time and enjoyed it though.

I started in the last section when I did it and spent most of the first few miles zig zagging around people. Some were walking before the Tyne Bridge. This isn't too bad if they tuck into the side, but annoying when there's four or five of them all holding hands and strolling along as if they're on a nice country walk out.

This really pissed me off today, fooked my time up tbh

2.39 today, it would’ve been around 2.30 but I stopped to speak to friends/family along the route. 3.09 last year so knocked 30 mins off. I’m not built for running so I’m fairly pleased with it. Well done for everyone who completed it, regardless of time. That heat was sapping

1.58, happy to be under 2 hours, although was targeting 1.50. Try again with Cardiff HM next month.

Thanks, i'm really chuffed with it to be honest.

I only started running in April 2018 aged 37, I couldn't even finish a 5k in 25 mins when I 1st started. Running has given a completely new lease of life. 2 stone lighter and met some great people along the way.
