Put it this way. If you were a solicitor that was working for a group of billionaire businessman and you were charging them an obscene hourly rate, would you drag your heels to make sure you got paid quite a lot more?

But, but, but these are Billionaires across every detail.....even the minutae "staffing issues".....No way they'd let the legal eagles take the piss....
 
Covered under TUPE laws as these protect employees under a takeover
Surely TUPE will not cover that? Its investors , not a new company. I would presume that the new owners shares will be by way of investment and board appointments in the current company until a new company has been formed ,then TUPE might come into effect.

I think people with the potential new owners’ acumen will be aware of solicitors dragging their heels
