Takeover Rumours

I’d hazard a guess when this three year price freeze on season card prices ends our prices will rise substantially.
Of course Mr Donald won’t be in charge by then will he.
I think that's the idea of a price freeze mate. it stays at the same price for a while, then it goes up.

Think they’d need to show some substantial investment and huge team improvements before anyone could justify substantial price rises. They’d also need to consider the disposal income of their average supporter and make sure they’re not priced out otherwise the place would be half full.

Fully expect them to increase corporate side and the premium seats though.
I’ve said from the day the concourse was shut that it’ll be different when it opens back up. A tier of boxes at the back is my guess with mebbes a black cats bar thingy for the new box types and those concoursers prepared to pay for it.

That’s what I like about SD staying on, as well as an owner, he’s also a football fan and appears to have a genuine affinity with supporters. Pretty sure I read somewhere that he made sure at Eastleigh that all supporters had affordable access to the club. If it gets too bad we can always extend the stadium.
Will take a good few seasons to price the fans out I reckon. Last time we were there with over 40,000 average we got less than £10m in revenue. If everyone had to pay double and they didn't give out free tickets they'd still push no more than £20m at most.

The money from being in the Premier League, sponsorship etc dwarfs the total revenue for some clubs. Hopefully this is where they focus on making money, the football side and not from fleecing the fans by simply pricing many out if the ground gets full (even after an extension) plus they also make it more pf a fan thing around the game and again limit the pricing structure as they know they can make money elsewhere without the fans having to be stung

Sunday dinner's in. The new board are about to join most SMB members in having communal Lamb Shanks.
I wonder if they ever join here to lurk what their usernames would be? I can't even think of any daft suggestions just yet though

Also need to take into account the money made from the monorail on non-match days!

Yes you’re correct, it’s what the increase will be when it comes.

They won’t want to price people out of it.

You’d hope they’d keep the price of a season ticket reasonable in a bid to fill the ground. Making the match day experience better for everyone, and making people want to buy drinks/food/merchandise should be their key aim. More people in attendance spending more money going into SAFC coffers is surely better than people being priced out of going, half empty stadium and people resenting buying stuff in and around the ground.
