Do you think hes earned another series
Well if they want him to open then surely he deserves the Oval and the two in New Zealand atleast?

Denly is a good example of what we were talking about yesterdat, this false misconseption about "bottling it" or being "mentally weak"
Nobody can say Denly doesn't have guts or balls, almost every innings he just about gets himself him, despite being completely out of form. He has took many blows to the body, and has battled on against 3 bowlers hitting the stumps bowling high 80s/early 90s when its reverse swining
The reality is, he probably isn't quite up to test standard technique wise, which means he will get out eventually, but he is doing his best and I think has really dug in at times,
Its easy for people on a message board to look at a list of averages saying, pick him, pick him, but he is out there getting stuck in, its hard against this bowling and there is no easy answer
You never walk like, ever, its not the right thing to do at all.
You are only out when the umpire gives you out.
Would you swap the World Cup win for a win in The Ashes?
Hes been gutsy but will he consistently get enough runs? Depends on make up of team personally id bring pope in and Sibley you can probably take your ur pick who to leave outWell if they want him to open then surely he deserves the Oval and the two in New Zealand atleast?
One for you the lbw shout last test stokes knew where he was standing Australia had no reviews he did not walk ? Why?Totally disagree but that’s fine.
Gilchrist walked in a World Cup semi once and he was a brilliant player and a example to all

Goes on last test doesn’t it looks like nothing to play for so nerves may come off. Rather them take the urn home on a draw than a win.He could cement a place for the games I mentioned with a 80+ today.
Buttler is the one I'd question. Foakes could keep and Bairstow is good enough to play as a batsman only.
It’s about 2 mins man ffsTime is key though.
Aye I know but like I said take everything you can, I don’t mean one review will change the whole game. It’s about 2 mins man ffs![]()
Acrually think denly has done okay overall really, been difficult but he has done better than I expected. If he was 7 or 8 years younger I would probably be tempted to keep him in and give him a good run to improve a few bits of his game here and there. At his age though it’s a waste of time as he isn’t going to improve much.Denly is a good example of what we were talking about yesterdat, this false misconseption about "bottling it" or being "mentally weak"

Gilchrist was always one of the Aussies i liked. Siddle is probably the only one I don’t mind in their squad at the moment.
I'm happy to leave it to the man in charge. Nowt wrong with thatCan’t say I am surprised at that in the slightest.
I played local cricket for years and always walked.
How is an lbw comparable to getting caught behind. As already said by others 99% of the time you know you have hit it and I would always walk. There’s times when you get hit in front when you think it’s close but probably only a handful I’ve had where I’ve known 100% that’s out.One for you the lbw shout last test stokes knew where he was standing Australia had no reviews he did not walk ? I get your point but watching that one sometimes batsman do know it’s harder decision but looking at the pitch etc.How is an lbw comparable to getting caught behind. We need to keep reviews. It’s going to be tough to get an LBW here with the bounce, so if one is given on the field, we need to be able to review it. Stokes was out and knew it, would have been a total waste of a review.Aye I know but like I said take everything you can, I don’t mean one review will change the whole game.
Was their review pal... but I get ya take this ball by ball......We need to keep reviews. It’s going to be tough to get an LBW here with the bounce, so if one is given on the field, we need to be able to review it. Stokes was out and knew it, would have been a total waste of a review.
I reckon we can afford to lose one wicket max in this session
