Sorry if already stated as not looking through pages at this time but reports in daily mirror saying Wenger set to be new technical director of FIFA. Could the delay be down to this if he was involved in some capacity!

I know the new owners are minted and it’s going to be an exciting few days waiting to hear/see just exactly how ambitious they are going to be with our club but what I find amazing is fans saying they wouldn’t have big sam back. I don’t think the new regime will dismiss Ross immediately, they’ll give him a while longer to keep things going.
However, it sounds like they will bring in a figurehead, maybe as a DOF initially.
I’d hope that we can look more progressively than Big Sam though.
Wenger would be amazing but is getting on a bit too.
I’m going to throw a name in to mix which might make a few laugh...

He left for his 'interview' with the FA about 3 days into that training camp in Austria. Can't even remember if he reappeared in any Sunderland capacity after that. It's a no from me too by the way.

I’m just hoping they can get past the owners and directors tests. We may be the first case after Bolton n Bury so the EFL will have to be strict and seen to be strict.....

I think Ross will stay until January to determine if we are in a decent position for promotion. If not he’ll be peddled and a new man in place with whatever money they need to ensure promotion as the new owners will not allow us to be stuck in this division for yet another season. Just my opinion
 
Notice there’s a lot of talk about Ross going. Personally not bothered about him leaving at all, as sick of the scared to lose negative tactics.

Obviously the blokes not gonna come out with bullsh*t but got sent a picture from a mate yesterday, works in M&S, picture of him and Ross, apparently said somethings definitely happening at the club, however he’s going nowhere.

Could be all talk or even bollocks, however I have seen the pic, and the lad in question is not one to lie. Im not claiming any sort of itk btw I know the square root of f all, just passing on what I was told was said.

I think he will initially stay, especially if they appoint a DoF. but if he carries on drawing games with his God awful tactics, or loosing, then I can't see them wanting to wait untill January to appoint a new manager. They may give him till the end of October, then that gives whoever comes in time to assess the squad properly and then improve it in the transfer window.

Although I’m not disbelieving what you’ve said but i think Ross is a bit more astute in what he says and I don’t think if asked about things as important as what’s going on at the club he would remark about them to a total stranger.
BTW I want him gone lol
