Takeover Rumours

More to do with the announcement of him going in my opinion, if their own manager is coming in then Ross will be gone before they takeover

Aye, might sound a bit brutal to have a happy, positive "we're here" takeover announcement then swing the axe a few hours later! IF changing manager it would make sense to do that first, then have the positive press of the takeover and the, hopefully big name, replacement. Mind as long as the takeover goes through I'm happy, I'll be confident that if Ross doesn't get them playing he'll be gone soon anyway

And leave us in the middle of a match for a better job again?

Oh wait, there won't be a better job.

Aye that would be my one misgiving if it was Allardyce. He'd make sense in that he's an experienced manager who knows the club so might have been advising them, he's popular here, he'd probably take it if the money was good and you'd back him to be a success, but buggering off halfway through a match did leave a bad taste. Still, the change didn't really work for either party, so I'd give it a go.

I was just about to say him or Keane

I’m sure Allardyce has been mentioned at some point on this thread. Methven has brokered the deal with the Americans, Methven is a Brexiteer as is Allardyce and they probably met over a glass of blue nun at a Brexit Party fundraiser. Allardyce would be adept to the travails of this league and the championship and has a proven top flight record and was popular here first time round so he fits Reiver’s criteria.

Either that or the more realistic appointment of Arsene Wenger and Thierry Henry
