Takeover Rumours

Staffing issues pretty much has to be the manager and his team doesn't it? In terms of people who might be asked about a takeover and then gone the next day, I can't think of anyone other than Ross. Donald and Methven obviously staying, and other than Ross and the players no one else is likely to be asked about it. In other areas the staff has been pretty much cut back to the bone so there's not likely to be many cuts there. Recruitment and things will be looked at but not immediately you wouldn't have thought, and again no one is going to be asking Coton about the takeover so it wouldn't look bad at all if he left the day after the announcement. I'm taking a leap, but I'd be thinking they've got a manager in mind. I'm probably wrong, just can't think what other major staffing issues might affect the timing of an announcement

They’ll probably want to know how a team that spent more than twice the rest of the league combined managed to finish 5th. And then having identified those responsible make sure they get nowhere near the club again.

I’m just desperate to know why it’s a slap in the face to the mags

If the boot was on the other foot it would be devastating if they were getting Dell plus 3- the last thing I want to see is them lifting trophies- the one thing we both have had is each other’s failure- the idea that one will become famous and successful is crushing as it virtually guarantees the other won’t get bought as other rich will assume north east now covered- amazingly we got selected!

I’d read staffing issues as say legal staff or financial advisers or whatever either making errors or not getting things like exchanges or agreements done on time

Who do you want as manager would you take Keane or sam back

Last minute snags crop up in deals all the time, even when it's all agreed. They'll be looking to get all the ducks in a line before telling the world. The last thing they'll want is someone sitting at a press conference one day being sacked the day after. I wouldn't worry about the investors' travel plans; they'll just book into a hotel for a few days until it's done. It could take until next week, or it could all be resolved in the next few hours. I know @Reiver well enough that he wouldn't bullshit about something this serious. Keep the faith.

I'm just doing an airport run but back in an hour.

I'll check my emails and see what people are saying.

All I'd say, to people, is don't start f***ing losing your grip and acting like fannies.

The takeover is happening ...

... we're just not sure of the precise details/timing/future staff.

Haway Lads, don't let the Mags see you flapping ffs

I think riv had some inside info directly relating to them, maybe hinting at them missing out on a takeover from the same consortium or ‘one of their own’ being involved in something relating to what’s happening

Management team going. Disputes over how much the pay offs are. Donald being diplomatic so that his staff get a good pay off.

Wenger puffing up his coat in the academy tumble driers in the meantime
