About 30 years ago I worked with a cockney city fan of similar vintage to myself who had no connections with Manchester whatsoever. He’d fallen in love with their shirts back in late 60s when they were a bloody good team, he even called himself a glory hunter but he’d stuck with them so fair play to him. I hadn’t seen him for years until a chance encounter on the tube. The Arabs had just been announced a few weeks earlier..........”We’ll still fuck it up”.

Are you still in Nottingham? I am about to start to project manage the fibre cities rollout down there for Openreach.My son is a musician and met JCC at Glastonbury or some other festival.
He's not a starstruck type but asked JCC for a photo of them together.
He explained that he wanted the photo for his dad who had met him while working as a bouncer in Nottingham.
I was really touched and thought it was a wonderful gesture from my son ...
... JCC didn't remember our encounter one bit
