Takeover Rumours

Whilst I believe this takeover is happening, I really think folk should calm down and definitely not start the piss taking with the mags just yet.
I remember a lad on here who used to post stuff he was getting from Quinny himself and some of that fell flat on its face.
In particular a manager who was about to takeover and a number of players who were signing and didn’t.
How many times was NZogbia, Scholes and Robbie Keane seen in Seaham Hall.?
I agree with you. The takeover happening is one thing. It’s quite another to speculate about what will happen as a result. As much as I would love to see NUFC below us and SAFC recognised as the top team in the north east and one of the top teams in English and European football I’m not getting my hopes up just yet.

This.

If and when it happens they are investors. No one has a clue how much that investment might be. What I fell sure about is that they will not be investing all their billions into the club.

They will invest and they will invest big. Do you really think these bloke want to piss about for years and years in League One and The Championship? not a f***ing hope, they wanna get to where the big money is and to do that they have to invest

It wont last. He'll probably be bought put after 18 months ish.

I just hope he has a very minute percentage in the club. The new lot wont be hoying much money in if they only own 60%.
What I was told 2 weeks ago is that SD wIll have 10% of the club I don't know what % CM & JS will be left with probably 5% each(which is a guess by me ?)

“OK boys and girls, I've just been given permission to post a little of what I've been told by a mate who's relative is at NY private jets.
An identical plane to the one that arrived for the Wimbledon game will arrive into NCL airport tomorrow.
No details on markings etc because that would compromise his job and neither of them owe me a thing.

I've also been told by someone in the media that his mate in the London press has been told to look at trains to the NE ...
... just watch, Ashley will be announcing he's wiped the debt and giving the club to NUST

Ah gotcha :)

They can’t make money wallowing in League1 or even the Championship...they need to get to the PL to maximize the investment.

That's the exciting thing for me. They've got so much money that what would an extra £10m or something mean? Very little I'd wager. From that point of view they absolutely need to be in the prem as that's where the high recurring turnover can occur. Equally even just as a challenge/ hobby, they'll have no interest in investing in an average league one/ championship club, where's the fun in that?

So whether they want eventual returns or enjoyment (or both), they'll need to get us into the Premier league as a minimum, something I was getting worried might be decades away. They might then want more. Talk of investment in the surrounding area makes sense, get a few things that give a (FFP compliant) regular income stream into the club to lessen the amount they eventually need to put in.

Of course we don't know how much they'll spend, or how much they can spend with FFP, but regardless this is massively exciting for a fan base who, to be fair, have been pretty f***ing deflated for seasons. They aren't here to see us mid table in the championship so let's just enjoy the ride and see what happens. I remember the expression "it's the hope I can't stand". For me that's always been bollocks. I love hope. I can't stand when we're in league one, revenue falling, wondering whether we'll ever compete at the top level again. I'm going to enjoy having hope back
