Takeover Rumours

Well according to the man himself this time last year you didn't need significant investment to get out of League 1. Yet here we are. And now we need investment.

He has a track record of hoying money about at Eastleigh and failing to reach targets.

Our recruitment so far under him leaves a lot to be desired. I could probably go on...

He's an enthusiastic bloke, I think his heart's probably in the right place, but I think you need a bit more when it comes to running a football club of our size (though I'll take him over the likes of Bain and Byrne everyday of the week).

SO WHO'S ON THE PLANE AND WHO'S ON THE TRAIN? ARE THEY COMING IN SEPARATELY TO FOOL THE PRESS?
a pilot is on the train and a train driver is on the plane
it is SAFC after all
oh shit I just realised. I'm at NCA tmw lunchtime wonder if I see anything concerning new investors arriving

I've just gone back through all of Reiver's posts and took all of capital letters and come up with the following.

TIBD KGBHD OHJRE NHGPO THAW TOB DBMA.
Don't know what it means, it could be in code
Holy shit! It's Cicada 3301 Mackem version!

Perhaps with our extreme wealth we could do better?
That's fair enough. Personally, for where we're at at the moment, he's doing a good job. Each to their own. I agree the likes of recruitment needs a change but that'll probably be something that will be taken out of his hands. Actual day to day running of the club he'll be fine.

He's right, you don't need to spend money to get out of this league IF the recruitment team and manager get things right.

They've said the investment is more for moving forwards beyond league one....although granted it seems the team is gonna need a little helping hand this year as well

In my eyes, Donald's heart being in the right place is exactly why him staying is good. And he gets that the club ultimately belongs to the fans..... BUT....he will have more ruthless people above him to make sure he delivers and gets rid of people where necessary i.e. Coton, Ross, etc.

Imagine being this miserable and not getting excited man
A takeover of shares of a football club. Not that exciting. Wenger as manager, Henry out of retirement...my mates mothers, cousins half sisters boyfriend is getting the plane ready to bring over out billions. Yea rightio..

I’ll be excited when I see investment in the club and good performances on the pitch.

Reiver seems a good chap (more based on what he’s done for fellow fans than this thread) but I’ll wait for the announcement before busting something ta.
