Florida

Nope. But they have insurance.

Just texted me, they're going to try to get out asap instead. Probably 2-3 weeks time though.

The hotel can be cancelled up to 24hrs in advance (they booked that Lastminute.com secret hotel trick that I've mentioned here a few times - same hotel as we always use!). Only the car and Airport parking to claim off the insurance anyway, so its no big deal.

Mind, there's Dreamliner return flights from Manchester for £260 each on Wednesday, for anyone who fancies a punt!!!!!
Get them to book the Wednesday ones. It'll be over by then.

Tbf I always wanted to be a storm chaser from young age.

Extreme weather, volcanos etc always interested me.
To go to tornado alley would be great, people probably think I'm mad on here saying it
A few years ago I went on a boat trip to Stromboli off Sicily. After seeing what happened the other week when it erupted and sent a pyroclastic flow down the side towards the tourist boats I'm glad I was nowhere f***ing near.
It’s not it’s hot and humid, no wind at all.
Is it still okay Bro?

In Tampa today, hot and humid, few showers. Typical weather

I'd want to be at a safe distance from a volcano mind especially if its an active one.

You would have presumed there was machines monitoring the seismic activity though and seen it above the norm?

When is it due to hit Florida mate? Looks like the Bahamas took a battering

My Mam and the dog are inseparable now, you may struggle to get her back.

Stromboli erupts approximately every 20 minutes and there's a fishing village built on one side. It must have been completely out of the blue.

Erupts every 20 mins but out of the blue??

Sounds like playing roulette that one

They aren't usually that spectacular, I had a lovely pizza and bottle of wine in the village. I never once feared that I may be incinerated whilst eating it.

@muggboots your Ma can keep the dog mate, that was always the plan as far as I was concerned.
No one seems concerned about the hurricane where we are although we’ve getten a letter pushed through the door telling us to live in the pantry for two days 😳
