Takeover Rumours

You truly are desperate for this to go tits up just so you can say @Reiver was wrong. I truly think you’d get more satisfaction from that, than from the fact if it’s all correct, it could be brilliant for our club. Sad, sad little man

I don't usually buy into these 'revelling in our misery' type posts, but I'm starting to genuinely believe some people would be happy to see this takeover collapse for their own satisfaction.

What's going to happen to all those stalls that sell bags of sweets for a quid?

I've got to say they always look like great value.

So whats happening lads you the next Man Citeh yet or what?

I just would like to see us back competing in the prem mate,
Watched yoos against wolves tonight on motd,
Haven't watched it since we dropped out, my best mate is Wolves,
Can't believe how far we have fallen and still gutted from a 3-0 loss in this league.
To top off my misery, a question of sport has just come on tv with fat Darren Bent on, am off ter me pit .

HA'WAY THE TAKEOVER tomorrow :)

Do any of our expected new owners have any NFL links?

Just wondering if there could be some kind of a partnership link up in the future.
No. They do have a part stake in the Miami Marlins MLB franchise, although that's more of an investment bank thing, providing capital for the owner/managers in return for an annual fixed dividend.

Who knows we could get an NFL game at the SOL in the future. As far as I know NFL has only ever been played in London and plenty of people travel from all over the country for these games. I think Spurs are the first to start an NFL academy in the UK so could be something the new owners tap into.

Has to be "king kev"? Reivers previous comments in response to Dells boys having looked at the skunks 1st was a to say much better than that ... the corly one pointed them our way instead? Shirley?

Well, Glenn Hoddle,Eileen Drury, Harry Redknap and Terry Venables are coming in as consultants to the new owners. Sam Allardyce and Kevin Keegan will be joint directors of football, Ferris wheel and extra benches at Seaburn, a monorail from the Vaux site to the Stadium I think that's the gist of it.

Please tell me we’re calling it the “one in the” Eye

OK, this is all I've been told and all I can say so won't be taking questions.

The fella I've just left is a multi-millionaire art dealer who had lunch with Fuhrman in New York a month back. He also knows Phelan personally but not Dell. Apparently Fuhrman's 1.2 billion collection cost him a total of £2 million ... smart man.

I was shown a WhatsApp message from my fella congratulating Fuhrman on his purchase of the club and a thank you response. There are a handful of minor issues to resolve, before it can be announced, but absolutely NOTHING that can affect the deal.

So, that's it, done.

Nothing regarding the plans, of which I was told, will be announced until the PR stuff starts. Believe me though, it's mind blowing and they will be throwing money at it despite what people are speculating.

They're not happy with Ross and the staff but believe the team should be promoted.

Fuhrman has said he'll be going to games.

Now, my lunch has arrived and Mrs Reiver is giving me daggers.

Thanks for the update.
Much appreciated.

Very doubtful I'd have thought. The NFL are tied in heavily with Wembley and Spurs with Spurs stadium being made so it is suited for NFL games - huge dressing rooms to cope with the big squads, a football pitch that can be nice to reveal a permanent NFL pitch underneath it. If there's more games coming the UK's way then they'll be heading to London.
