Takeover Rumours

I'm now actually expecting a delay until after the transfer window closes, if only to avoid raising expectations of a manic Keane-esque splurge tomorrow.

Thought all along that if the takeover gets across the line that this would be the case.

Mind you whilst I want us to strengthen I'm not sure adding more players will actually help Ross as in my opinion he still doesn't seem to know his best team, nor do I think he is getting the best put of this group. Successful teams in this league operate with much smaller squads and they have a settled first eleven in the main which aids the building of partnerships and understanding.

The debates on here i.e. Dobson/McGeough v Leadbitter/Power choice of Mcnulty/Maguire and then forwards with a track record at this level Grigg/Wyke clearly show we have choices where the changes we can make neither weaken nor really strengthen the team but the ability to regularly change the line up in such fashion in my opinion lends itself to making changes and disrupting the building and forming of partnerships which are so critical in football.

I also don't see who we have on the bench that offers us something 'different' subs are mostly like for like in style, it is a cliche but where is the pace and power to either impose ourselves on games early or change things up if under pressure/the cosh.

I'll not get into the debate about specific players we could/maybe should add but whoever we bring in/if anyone needs to offer something different

I'm sure that others will have different views which is fair enough.

Of course, that could just as easily be speculative bollocks, like most of the press comment so far.

it's still something written down though instead of speculation and gossip

"When do we expect the takeover to be completed by?
The major trio are hoping to seal the takeover as soon as possible.

Everything is agreed, there is just one or two legal hurdles to cross and then the EFL tests.
The hope is that it should be all signed, sealed and delivered within a matter of weeks, certainly before the end of September."

All the information available suggests that things are far more advanced than they make out.

There are people on this board who have been given information, but can't reveal all they know because they a) don't want to break a confidence and b) want to maintain a cordial relationship with the person who gave them it. So they say what they can feel comfortable with on very guarded terms. Can I just ask why you seem so keen that this is delayed or collapses though? Every post you make is cynical about this deal.

So just waiting clearance?

eh?? rake through my posts where I've said it should be delayed or collapses or been cynical about it. I post articles and proof of the progress. Anyone can say stuff with no proof and I'd rather see it for myself. If I said I know a bloke who was in the office told me they want it done by the end of September would that make you feel better?

Sorry, but there has been no proof of progress in anything you have posted.
