Should be done by now. Wish bury and Bolton would hurry up and go bust so we can get this done.

In theory they should be cracking on now like. Bolton have been bought so presumably nowt much else for them to do and they've said no to Burys request for an extension. Might as well deal with this before any Bury legal challenge

Each side of the deal will have their own lawyers. The implication here is that the final purchase agreement is being drawn up (I'd also infer from that that EFL have cleared the deal in principle). Each team of lawyers needs to justify their existence by nitpicking their way line by line through the contract. This is where the joke about deals only being valid when signed at 4.30am comes from. I think @Reiver may be being a little pessimistic on the timescale; once the first draft is in place it's usually a couple of days at most, particularly if both sets of principals want to get the deal done (they let their lawyers have their little bit of fun, and then start banging heads together).

yeh i get that, i was just joking about how solicitors really love to agree on things. ;)
