Fair enough if that's your view, a very callous view point though. Seems like you don't really care about the poor in society.
the poor are generally well looked after, most of the poor i see never seem to go without a smoke or a drink daily, and some even more damaging substances, and this includes females young and old.Iam sure brexit will be kind to them 🦃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Having 100% green electricity production would help cut a great deal out, especially if all land vehicles were electric ones. At a personal level should we use our electronic devices less? Switch your phone off when it's not needed, say at work and overnight to extend the battery life meaning fewer charges. If we're not using the internet for a while should we switch off our wifi routers? Bin electric alarm clocks and go back to wind up or a battery powered one with rechargeable batteries? If you can get somewhere without using a car, do so.

That's like trying to empty Lake Windermere with a thimble.

out means out and 25000 jobless means nowt 🙄 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Only because the 650 people we elected to carry out the will of the people were unable to leave in an orderly and non self harming way. The people didn't vote for political paralysis and politicians putting the interests of their party before those of the country. There's a way of leaving which would be barely perceptible to most people and may even have some benefits, which is desired by a majority of the population, the HOC and the EU yet we find ourselves held hostage by the Bullingdon Club.
@AB22 Easy Tiger maybe move it if you think it right?

I tried a couple of weeks ago Janie but there wasn't much Interest really.

Giving up the right to own something which has a large carbon footprint in its manufacture and an enduring one during its lifetime and disposal is a virtuous thing surely and rewarding behaviour which is socially useful is the way forward imo.

People don't change bad habits easily. Reward and punishment are good motivators though.

It’s not a bad habit, people are not just joyriders.

No I didn't. I've mentioned plenty of times on here I voted remain. You have a horrible habit of accusing others wrongfully. Instead of posting stupid emojis, you should concentrate on what you actually post. Doubt you'll apologise for another mistake on your part like.

🦃 🙄 why would i look down on 25k folks who have been put out of work, total rubbish and its the kind of talk that made you look like a brexiteer turkey.

I do what I can, I could do more but it would impact too much on my everyday life.
I'm pretty avid when it comes to recycling and I hate waste. We have few lights on at night and if I'm at home on my own in winter I don't put the heating on to heat the whole house.
We have two cars but mine gets me to work and back then just sits on the drive the rest of the time. I haven't had a holiday abroad for years but I do wonder if all thosr extra cars on the road driving to Torquay is better than packing a plane with people. There's not much more the average man can do really.

Two decent points

Well you look down on the poor and single mothers as demonstrated in this thread, so if more people are unfortunate enough to lose their jobs and become poorer as result it seems a reasonable conclusion you would also look down on them. You don't exactly come across as a caring individual.

What's meant by food waste though? Us plebs eat our left overs in a rather pleasant dish known as cauld warmed up. Any thing else is to feed wildlife/the son or to make compost. Or quite simply we usually buy what we need, Or does it mean food packaging waste and the damage done from the manufacturing of it
Serious question, what's the rate of carbon dioxide to oxygen conversion of a square foot of grass? And would building regs requiring a certain amount to square footage per property to be installed and retained be any use?
It means thrown away food rather than packaging, I believe although packaging is bad too.

The carbon emissions that are produced in the growing, packing, shipping and storing food that is then thrown away because it goes off, is apparently quite high.

I forgot I also have a 100% green energy tariff. Apparently let all of the energy I consume is from renewable sources and I pay a little bit extra for it. I have literally no idea how they calculate it, but it felt like a good idea. I have a smart meter and I try to keep my consumption down.
