Used to be simply from the north east when I was a kid, John Hall’s geordie nation put a stop to that.
hhhmmmmmm. I’ve never heard that before mind. I’ve just always thought geordies were from Newcastle but it seems you’re classed as a Geordie if your from other areas aswell?

Was always anyone born within a distance of 1 mile of the Tyne was classed as a Geordie ( Scott Dobson referenced it many years ago ) as some previously stated on this thread

I never heard the word mackem till I was in my 20s and in those days it was only people in Newcastle said it. Everyone was classed as a geordie and called themselves geordies. It was only in the 80s it changed.

Bloody hell anyone else have a birthday today? Feel left out now. Had on... 29th August - pretty much 9 months exactly from New Year. Think it's fair to guess how all your parents saw in their respective New Years... :)🥳

Edit: hopefully nobody actually tries to work this out (I counted December as a month )

Something to do with them being pushed out ready for the school academic year.

One might argue it's better to hold on until 1st September...

I'm not bothered marra I will just have to take your word for it. Fair play if you were one of these head cases mind.
Lol I wish I was mate, I was part of the 'support element'. Basically, I was detached from the RAF as their logistics specialist.

It hasnt really. Pretty tedious

It's been pretty straightforward on the whole but lulls in info mean it veers off now and again.

As soon as the announcement is made the Mags, wums and drones will have their little hearts broken and go away for a cry.

The resident miseries will say 'no one is more pleased than me to be proven wrong' then start trying to find ways to pick holes in the takeover.

Sadly predictable but they just can't help themselves.

To be fair, i class myself as a Geordie as i'm from Wallsend, however that has fuck all to do with football.

Did you say that the deal is going to be done soon mate?....I've logged back on and some spotty, teenage mag is wanking into his Gregg's steak bake, pretending to be a lass from Sunderland! I can't be arsed to read thru the tripe.

All figures agreed, buyers accountants have finished their work, due diligence papers arrived at the EFL yesterday and the first run through was described as 'absolutely fine', legal paperwork now being drawn up and, unless the buyers pull off face masks and turn out to be Mags on a wind up, it's all done ...

... oh yeah, and we're having a monorail from the Worm into the ground

Cheers for the constant info. If you had to put a time on it before it's announced, what would you reckon?
