Takeover Rumours

And how many do you think we get from all over the north east. The answer is loads.

Yep, but something like this will bring all of the ex-pats back on board. Kids from down south who's mam or dad were from Sunderland will start supporting us instead of the local team. It will take a while but it will have a massive effect.
Rightly or wrongly, floating supporters in the NE gravitate towards Newcastle. This should put an end to that for a start.

Away then mate ,there is thousands of us sitting here looking for scraps of info to get all giddy about .

I'm waiting for the catch me like ,doesn't seem real !

Think its pretty common knowledge they are just waiting to pass the EFL test. I cannot imagine with their wealth that will be any problem at all

Think people need to calm down a bit  Lets just get the takeover done and hear what they've got to say
Exactly this.

People getting themselves carried away with very little knowledge as to what is happening.

I’ll believe it when I see it as it would be so typically Sunderland for this to end in tears.

That's something I admire about the Americans - they know how to run a sporting event. Whether it be tailgating, sports bars around the stadium, giving away free stuff etc. It's all about the customer experience. I've been to XFINITY LIVE when I went to watch the Phillies play. We went before the game and I'll never forget the massive plate of nachos 🤤. Also popped in after the game for a drink and the place was buzzing. It's well set up in Philly with your sports stadiums all being down in that one area.

It’s also nice sitting in your seat with an adult beverage...you don’t even have to go get in line. They sell them right at your seat. ;)

f***ing Bollocks - I was in Soldier Field last November and 3 of us, all over 40 went to get a beer - only I could as I had ID - the woman (from Ireland) wasn't allowed to serve us
In fairness mate that's just America in general. You want a drink over there, take your passport or another form of accepted ID.

Have you seen the size of Greater Manchester and Liverpool compared to Newcastle & Sunderland? Liverpool also get most of North wales.

Edit - Greater Manchester - 2.9 million, Sunderland 270,000. So it's 10 times bigger. And how many do Manchester/Liverpool get from all over the country and beyond?

We can't compete with the global audience and greater Manchester has more people for sure. But our total catchment area is up to a million people, even assuming beyond a certain point is Mag territory. And there are fewer clubs competing for fans up here

Exactly this.

Correct all those going a bit mad need to calm the fk down!!!!

I can’t wait for the mags and other clubs’ fans to come out with:
Selling your soul to try and buy success
Careful what you wish for
Money doesn’t guarantee you anything
You’re still in the 3rd Division

While thinking at the same time “lucky bastards - wish it was us”

Well it’s not you - it’s us.
