The fact they’re richer doesn’t mean they know any more than short about running a football club to be fair. So far there’s no mention of any footballing appointments so it may still be hill and coton calling the shots. And, again, their personal wealth doesn’t necessarily have any bearing on what the club sees. Pleased Donald is still involved like.

Aye but I imagine it would have been a bit different if Short had actual football people helping with decisions. I'd be amazed if several billionaires are buying us with no intention of putting any money into the club

From the looks of things, they won't be running the club. SD and CM will. And as they've proved, they do actually know what they're doing.

I thought the deal was so SD and CM keep their roles, run the club but these Dell lot hoy their Benjamin Franklin in?

As with the example, look at qpr. I know I’m coming across like a buzz kill but I’d rather wait and see what their actual plans are once they’ve bought us than talking about how it’s an “incredible moment in our history” or getting misty eyed about the fallen Safc fans who aren’t around to see the takeover happen et.

It's not about the money for me, we've already had a billionaire owner who pissed away millions and look where we ended up. It's all about the strategy, that's what I want to see - a winning philosophy going right through the club. One thing we need to sort is how we recruit players as we're currently still all over the place. If I was them I'd forget about the big money signings and instead target the best young players in the lower leagues, players who could grow with the club. For one thing, they cost less money and secondly you get the chance to mould a team over a period of time that could end up competing in the Premier League. At that point you then spend some money on quality additions. Bournemouth did it (their whole back four, until recently when they bought Ake, were with them from League One to Premier League), Southampton did it (the likes of Fonte, Schneiderlin and others went from L1 to PL), Sheff Utd are doing it now with a number of their squad. It's not impossible with the right strategy and key appointments in key positions. That's what I'll be looking for if this group take over, not how much dosh they spunk. I also think it's highly unlikely that Michael Dell will be investing much, if any, of his fortune in us but let's see.

And so the negative posts begin. It’s like there’s a need to always undermine any kind of positivity when the only thing we’ve been given is hope. There’s things to worry about. But until anything is explained why worry at all when the deal isn’t even done?
