He is a great player - just struggling with the pressure of captaincy in the Ashes. It is not like they don’t care is it - they will be gutted about today.

Labuschagne 24 from 72. The epitome of patience - watch and learn England.
Labuschagne is a proper test batsman like. Absolute patience and building up a big score from little drives and dinks getting ones and 2s. He could stay in for ages and if him and smith are at the crease together in the next couple of tests the score could be embarrassing.

The Aussies send their up-and-coming players to England to play in the CC and gain experience, not only of English conditions, but how to bat for long periods on bowler-friendly pitches against the red ball.

How many English players play Aussie State cricket, or even Grade cricket? Not many, I would say.

We play more and more limited-overs cricket using the white ball and wonder why our young players don't have the technique to cope with an accurately bowled red ball.

And they use the Duke ball in Sheffield Steel to get used to it apparently
