I can only assume two things.

A) People believe in witchcraft and jinxes.

B) They work/socialise with Mags and don't want people saying things that come back to bite them.

Most likely scenario is not much changes. These people are from an investment firm with the intention to make money not spend, spend, spend. Obviously to make money we need to be in the PL and we’ll need to spend to get there but as I don’t see SD changing his approach based on this news. It’s going to be slow and steady, which is fine but some people seem to be expecting us to buy all our problems away. As LA posted, just because the owner has cash doesn’t mean the club does.
