I just can't agree with that tbh.

It changes everything because the entire mood and outlook of the club will be different.

Sunderland would become a club with a sustainable plan for the future and not just on a wing and a prayer.

It puts pressure on the existing manager and players but also gives potential signings an extra push.

Perhaps we would all need to change our attitude slightly and actually believe ...

... if it all goes wrong what have we actually lost?
My mood about the future of SAFC has changed already. Yesterday all we could hope for was promotion back to the Championship and be sustainable and one day get back to PL.

Now we can dream a little. A mate who is a Villa fan made dig about being another Chelsea or Man City. Bloody hell! It could be a possibility 🤣

from everything Stewart Donald has said consistently across the podcasts, they would only seek investment for the good of the club

no doubt everyone will have done quite well out of the deal but I can't see too many changes happening.
we are just about cleansed of the hangover from the insane spending - and the more its laid bare I feel incredibly sorry for ellis short. (though he should have had better people in charge)

investment keeping the best youths in the region here, yes - but in league one we cant be expecting too much in the way of transfers?

not sure I really want us spending millions on mercenaries either, would be happy with a few years in the championship building a sustainable club from top to bottom and not being held to ransom by nobhead agents and their terrible attitude players
