They also made a loss of more than £1 million a WEEK in doing so. It was a massive gamble that would have seen them slapped with a huge penalty if they’d not been promoted.

That's the reality of modern football. I don't want us to follow the wolves route because it is all about lining agents pockets and employing mercenaries.

It has, however, been a success in the short term which is all most fans care about. You'd be hard-pressed to find an unhappy wolves fan right now.

Slow and steady please. Build a squad that cares about the club and who can kick on. Leicester did it perfectly.

Our income is about £20 million a year without the parachute money iirc? Season tickets alone are about £7-9 million.

However I’m not sure what FFP says about owners injecting equity as opposed to creating debt to fund transfers.
the ules are quite cofortable with owners injecting up to £8m a yar of equity I think..

That May night where these had lost the play-off final and The S*n break that we're about to be taken over. It felt amazing, like the pain was about to finally end.

And yet here we are. We have Ashley and Bruce, these are about to get Dell billionaires on board.

f***. ING. HELL.

Fuck off mag

I think it's been established that you don't magically become Man City because a billionaire owns you. Nice security to prevent a Bolton/Bury scenario, but I doubt that'd ever happen to a club of Sunderland's size anyway.
