Takeover Rumours

Original planning and design etc was circa 62K

IIRC the North stand extension added 6500 to the capacity. which is now around 48,700 up from 42,200.
The South Stand upper would add the same and the East stand around 8500.
I seem to remember Bob Murray talking about this ages ago.
This would make it above 63K but it would depend what they wanted to do about hospitality boxes.
Anyway, it's all speculation. Let's see how this pans out.

Safc probably has the biggest potential upside of any football club in the UK right now, if they get the right people in and the right model they could take us from being worth £50m to £500m in 5 years. Hopefully the 5 year plan is better than the last one.

Does this mean we can sign Maddison now...
Especially after the excellent work done by Donald and Methven in reducing the operational costs

Definitely some going over the top on here mind. Depends on what their intentions are, but I’d suspect they’d want to get us into the PL and make a nice £200m+ profit, rather than do a Man City and poor money in to win things.

Is this a wind up? Seriously? I need a lie down

if they make a 200 million profit on us as a premier league club in the next 10 years I will be happy as pig in shit.

And your suspicions are built on what exactly, personal knowledge of the people involved?

And, even if your wild guess is right, selling the club for that kind of profit would mean we'd be in the PL with a wealthy owner.

Where's the problem?

This will be true but even top 10 PL side will be the best we have mustered in decades

Very true. Just warning of caution as there is undoubtedly some overexcitement going around here at the moment. I’d be suprised if it was another Man City type thing - although you could get a bigger return on investment by pushing that much further if you really wanted to
