Just checked the line up.
Think I’d rather face Archer in the nets with no helmet/pads/bat

Root totally justified putting them in, anybody moaning at bowling them out for 179 is mad, i'd have snapped ya hand off, brilliant
Aye it's an awful line up bar a couple of bandsJust checked the line up.

We've just sent a few more rain clouds up towards Leeds as well.
No exaggeration to say the score flatters Aussie at the minute, could easily have been 4 or 5 down. Whatever happens, was the right decision to bowl.
Yeah I think it is Holding, thanks all...Holding?
This place is always the polar extremes at all times. You aren’t allowed to think we have had a poor start. It’s either we are the worst or best team in the history of the sport or nothing else.
Labuschagne is a class player I can’t believe how he wasn’t in the side for the first test
Can't believe I missed thisWhat do you do in a rain delay? A game of cricket with a soft ball, plastic bat and a bin for stumps with an avocado opening the bowling and a banana at slip.

Part II... A change of bowling. Hulk Hogan is on

"What a marvellous effort that was"
Smith was playing of course that test so it’s a bit of an outlier.Tomorrow forecast looks cloudy according to BBC and Metoffice, Australia might not be out this yet.
Not to mention England took a 90 run lead in the first innings at Edgbaston and still managed to lose by a whooping 251 runs.
300 is the minimum score tomorrow, anything less is a failure when they've got Lyon bowling last.

But the point stands that we aren’t posting big batting totals with this order at present so 179, and batting last, isn’t as big as it looks.
Not taking anything away from how impressive that final session was but we will have to also follow it up with a batting performance well above our current average to make it count as it should

AyeThink I’m just going to sing archers name for a few hours in the street.
Should have said Jimmy was concussed.
Absolutely, that’s what 5 wickets in 40 or so balls should give you, that platform to just bat them out the match as they did us in the second innings first test. But you need to be able to bat for more than 2 and a bit sessions to do that so that’s the rub. It’s a fast pitch though so if-big if-we are still batting come close tomorrow it’s hard to see them not drowning under that kind of pressure. If we can, we have to bat for the next five sessions - a lead of 200-250 - then try to rattle them out again. Hopefully so we don't have to bat again but, if we do, we're chasing less than 100.
On current form this appears unlikely, but sooner or later they're going to have to start batting like a proper Test Match side - let's hope it starts tomorrow.
