3rd Ashes Test - Headingley

If you put them in, you have to bowl them out on the first day.

Job done.

First time I can remember England doing it for a long time, mind you.

In 50 over too! Fantastic day for England, dragged it right back after tea.
Who does Archers bowling action remind me of....? Cant quite put a name on it. Help

I’ve never a fast bowler to get so close to the stumps when he delivers a ball.

If only cricket didn't have some archaic laws like not being able to make injury subs, then Archer could have played in the first test which would have been more of game instead of us playing with 10 men for most of the test

Anyone know of anything I can do for the day in Leeds on Sunday?
Think I’m just going to sing archers name for a few hours in the street.

Should have said Jimmy was concussed.

Need to get to 300 for that to yield the results it should, but I didn’t think they’d get them at all today, especially with the limited overs, I was totally wrong on that front and glad to be!

Question for tomorrow is if someone can step up with bat the way Archer did with ball.

When Australia were 4 down I thought it would be perfect if we had them 170-9 at the close so we wouldn't have to bat tonight in tricky conditions. 179 AO in the last over will do even better.
With the weather forecast looking good tomorrow and Saturday if we can bat until Saturday afternoon we should have a match-winning lead. Easier said than done, but we've just got bat time and the runs will take care of themselves.

Really like the look of Labuschagne. Reckon he'll bat at 3 if Smith comes back for the 4th Test. Harris or Khawaja to partner Warner depending on their 2nd innings.

Brilliant day for England. The last 8 wickets for 43 runs. Great stuff by Archer and Broad.

Hopefully the weather will be a lot better for batting tomorrow and we can get a lead of at least a hundred :-)
