Parkinson resigns

Looks like Bolton and Bury will be gone sooner rather than later..

The way football is today, however they aren't the first or the last, for example Rangers Darlington and one or two others, had to start again.

I don't blame them really, but once the window closes there must be a fair few out of contract players who would sign rather than be unemployed - and Bolton do have the finances in place to run for the whole season because the EFL have confirmed this...

The EFL fhs.
Couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery.
They have allowed this farce with Bury and Bolton to go on way too long, and have lost credibility in many peoples eyes.
If this takeover happens, I'd be very surprised. How can they hope to make any kind of return on their investment ??
The last time Bolton were relegated they were in absolute disarray and he still got them back up, he kept them up the following season too despite the transfer embargoes etc

Keeping them up that season was incredible.
Didn't they have only 7 players at start of pre season training?
Plus, they couldn't pay fees for players due to a transfer embargo. Still did the double over us tho didn't they???

No wasn't that the 3.3 game at the sol that saw Grayson off?

He was employed to manage a team that played games. They've not got a team and aren't playing games so the poor bloke has little choice. I feel very sorry for all those who are in danger of losing their jobs. Sadly it will hit folk like the tea lady and the ground staff the hardest and you can bet that they will be some of the club's most loyal fans too.

I know I'm a bit of an optimist but with free agents/loans basically just about anyone...you could have built a team, fulfilled your fixtures and survived whilst still generating revenue even in worst case scenario. He himself would be under absolutely no pressure...my gut says this resignation is more foreboding.

No one wants to play for a team that doesn’t get paid. As of 18th July they hadn’t been paid for 20 weeks. Not sure if that has changed in the past month.

They will if they get kicked out. He's on about if they manage to survive and are able to bring players in then it's not fair as those teams playing them earlier have an advantage.

They won't be able to do enough though. more likely to be the clubs who haven't yet played them who have the advantage one less game.

Providing I am not working on Saturday 7 September I will be going to the game.

With any luck this will make beating them easier. I frankly don't give one shiny shade of shite about BWFC. We have had enough worries of our own, and still do, without having to take on the worries of another club. It is just good to know we are not the only club capable of fooking things up and getting deep into a crisis.

I think we will beat them 3-0.

I'll be bold and go for a rather unpredictable scoreline of 1-1.

I thought we played Burton on the 7th.
