Donald says 1 transfer incoming could end up being 3

mcnulty plays for a championship club...sidnt we get dobson by outbidding a championship club for him on wageS?
i would hope if we are to spend £2.5m on a player we thinkthey are championship standard..
no champo club has bid for maddison implies he isnt champo standard..and thats a lot of money for a player who isnt champo standard.
the mcgeady comment was strange like

while i agree with a lot of this, its not illoigcla infot o sya that no one else has bid for maddison yet he is protarayed by our fans as an amazing talent...
Imo he is championship standard but his attitude isnt

Why does it have to one or the other? It would cost the best part of £3m to replace McLaughlin. The ball is in their court.
it wont cost £3m to replace a league one keeper..even a good one...govog mclaughlin, who has never commanded a fee in his life, a huge salary, only to fuck off quickly if we do go up for fuck all money is ludicrous..

if he wants x wages..the safc reaction should be..well a player who is wroth x wages is worth x of transfer fee..

My point is Donald going public and tell the agent how it is twice is not a wise move. There is somethings that should be kept in house. All he had to say was 'We are working on a deal and hope we can come to an agreement.' I think dragging the player and the agent looks bad and unprofessional.

He isnt champo standard and attitude is poor.Starting to worry that a little tinker on this thread is either a family member or team mate of MM at riverside club in the Russell foster youth league few years back.Nobody wants him man

How is it silly? Unless McLaughlin wants £20k and to be giving a free transfer if we don't get promoted then I can't see how that is silly?!

It went cost that much. He's a lower end championship keeper who we got for free. Just because the previous regime decided to sign Steele doesn't mean he was the best on offer. We'd replace McLaughlin for a lot less than 3m.

If that was your point you did not express it well, I agree with that.

Well the current regime spent £3m on Maja's replacement and look how that went. McLaughlin is a Championship level keeper and without him we wouldn't have made the play-offs. Mid to lower Championship players are going for around £2m to £3m.

are mid to low level championship goalkeeprs in their early 30s going for that sort of money? mclaughlin is a very very good shot stopper, but shitat distribution, that means he will never get he move his shot stopping talent deserves.
he was [resumably a championship level golakeep fpurteen months ag and available on a free transfer..when he joined us..
and the year before that. when was available on a free and joined a scottish team, not an english champo one..?

You're being silly again. We're not signing the top scorer in league one here, we're signing a keeper. We'd get a keeper for way less. Fielding and Hamer both moved this summer of the top of my head.

i suspect if he said on the podcats we dont want him because he has an unprofessional lifestyle for a footballer he would be leaving himself open to legal actiopn so he couldnt say the reason? It may also be he doesnt know the reason, why shpould he. he doesnt do transfers? wOULD WE Be in for him at £100k? The head of football said he wouldnt pay two bob for him...which indicates not..
what did ross say about the preparations? we havent been taken over yet have spent millions onhe sqaud, with players out and players in, indicating the money spending bit wasnt relaint on the takeover??
donald also addressed the innacuracy of the fact the daily mail article didnt actually know who juan sartori was, making every other sentence in it innacurate?
See I took a bit of a different take from whatDonald said re Maddison.
I think he was talking the lad down a bit by saying no Championship club had come in and he would be in direct competition with McGeady to possibly get the price for him down to a level we see as acceptable.
I may be wrong but if I was thinking about buying him it a tactic I would be using.

God hope ya wrong

Agree you are right it would be a good negotiating ploy, however in this instance i hope it fails
I don’t really know anything about his private life, I’m purely going on his stats and what I’ve seen of him as a footballer. From that he’s exactly what we need in the team.
However if he’s a wronun and would shatter the team spirit and dressing room we should avoid.

he advertises his terrible diet and copious drinking on his social media every day...if thats what he is like..then there wont be many years left in him...relatively speaking..and no resale value.

and marcus maddison is £2.5m and younger and no one will take a punt..
is maddison less valuable than mclaughlin?

If that’s the case then we should probably avoid him!
