Donald says 1 transfer incoming could end up being 3

If he's such an arsehole why would he be worth so much and why aren't they desperate to get rid?
They are clearly quite keen to get rid mind, they’ve touted him around like a cheap slut to us and no doubt other clubs this season and last season. They just want to get a decent fee for him. 90% of the speculation surrounding Maddison coming here came from their chairman originally.

he isnt worth that much..a player is worth what womeone will pay for him..no one will pay that much...they are desperate to get rid..their chairman was commenting on twitter about safc's lack of ibterest..trying to get safc fans to put pressure on the club to buy him..just as fans put pressure on the owner in jan o buy will grigg...

while the mcgeady thing was strange..do you bot think it could be as simple as they dont think maddison is very good? and if he says that and people bray, he can say, "well no one else thinks he is any good either", so it justifies his origibnal point. NO one in this league or the league above wants maddison at that price, his lifestyle issues are horeendous, and eman there wont be any resale value, signing marcus mddiosn would be very very stupid for a club that wants out of this league.

His lifestyle issues are seperate to to if he is good or not. Productivity wise, he's very good at this level. He may well have attitude problems but that's nothing to do with Mcgeady.

If you are desperate to get rid of a player you don't put every club off with a fee they have interest in paying. You end up paying them off.

your right. its nowt to do with mcgeady..the only thing i can think of with he mcgeady thing is that the manager views (wrongly in my view) that mcgeady and maddison on opposite wings wouldnt work..but the attitude thing is deeply relevant to whether we should sign him..his lifestyle indicates he wont hit his potebtial and wont have a long career...so little sell on value..he halso hasnt played in the champo which is where we hope to be in a few nonths..given all of that, he would be a stupid signing for us at the price quoted.
The peterborough chairman has played safc fans like a fiddle, putting a tweet out calling out one of safcs staff,, to try to get our fans to pressure the club to do the deal..it reflects poorly on our owners that daragh mcanthony thinsk theyare that weak..and poorly on our fans that they fell for his tricks...

I'm not denying it is. Like I say I don't mind if we aren't interested for whatever reason, especially at that price, but Donald was as textbook as it comes to trying to justify it with bullshit.

how do you know it was bullshit? i mean, how do you know it wa sHIS bullshoit? he could have been told that by the manager? Your agenda is clear in talking up one part of his comment for not wantig the lad and linking it to finance, when there is no evidenc on the finance question. In fact, we know these owers are hppy to spend that sort of money on marquee signings.

I can see us going after him in Januar for a knock down fee after he puts in a transfer request

Touting him around at prices he knows nobody are willing to pay.

And yes they do tend to sell players with a year left on their contract but he's going into his 6th season with them so they haven't sold him the last two (presuming it's 2 based on this league usually being 2 years) times he had a year on his contract and instead extend.

Although this is again going away from the initial observation.

I'm glad you weren't mate, I'd be fed up of reading about you and Biscuit Talks

I'm not convinced that we've shown any concrete interest in him. Just as likely that our name has been put out there by their chairman and/or his agent, as we'd spent big money on Grigg, in an effort to try and drum up interest in him.

Im not saying it definitely is finance so not sure why you are taking it so personal. It could be owt. I believe it may well be finance. Would Maddison be a target if he was 100k? We know we've been looking around for investment since virtually the day he took over and the summer preparations were hung on the Campbell takeover. We spoke about this at the time and you wouldn't have it yet Ross has all but confirmed this yesterday.

Donald's actions in the way he answered, and his behaviours raise several flags. I'm not bothered if we don't want Maddison. But he went great lengths to get around the reason why which raises suspicion.

He did very similar with the question on the away fans and a net. And again he did very similar when that daily mail article came out and instead of discussing the article, which turned out in parts to be correct, he detracted and focused on very specific, meaningless inaccuracies like 37 instead of 40 and the Connor Bromley bit.

i suspect if he said on the podcats we dont want him because he has an unprofessional lifestyle for a footballer he would be leaving himself open to legal actiopn so he couldnt say the reason? It may also be he doesnt know the reason, why shpould he. he doesnt do transfers? wOULD WE Be in for him at £100k? The head of football said he wouldnt pay two bob for him...which indicates not..
what did ross say about the preparations? we havent been taken over yet have spent millions onhe sqaud, with players out and players in, indicating the money spending bit wasnt relaint on the takeover??
donald also addressed the innacuracy of the fact the daily mail article didnt actually know who juan sartori was, making every other sentence in it innacurate?

why isnt onien? he played there for us last year and did quite well..he is certainly good enough to be a back up right back..you wot get betterin this league..
You must realise that players can only be what they are categorised as being on Football Manager - variations and versatility are not permitted.

It is a good thing FM wasn’t around in the early 1970s, or Dave Watson, who arrived at the club as a centre-forward wouldn’t have been able to go on and win the FA Cup and dozens of England caps as a centre-half.

It doesn't make every other sentence in it inaccurate though does it? If I say the sky in blue and the the sea is pink, the sky is still blue. It makes that part inaccurate do he focuses on that instead. It turned out varies parts of the article wast correct.

Ross comments:

'Although they (the takeover talks) don’t have a direct, day-to-day impact on me, through the summer they did because they affected our planning and what our structure would be.
