Bolton have postponed game v Doncaster over fears

If the worst happens then their results will need to be expunged from the league or every single remaining fixture given as 3-0 to the opposition.
The rules state that they will be expunged, which means that Coventry as the only team to drop points to Bolton would gain
EFL seem less than impressed

That statement would worry me even more if I was a Bolton fan, “integrity of competition” sound ominous

Makes you wonder what would happen if the takeover goes through at some point. Some teams will have had an advantage of playing the weaker team earlier in the season.

True but if they go under, they'll have a disadvantage. Either way, we'll beat them twice if we play them.

... of over using the young players on their books!
They looked doomed too. :(
Can a few recently retired pros not help them out, Ashley Cole, Alan Hutton. Could play for free and give the youngsters some guidance. Then drift away once the takeover is complete.

Aye possibly - I don't know enough about the specifics in this case but it seems entirely plausible to me that the Bolton medical team have raised objections. They had five 17 year olds on the pitch on Saturday.

It is the medical team that have raised objections.

There's a huge difference in physicality between kids that have only ever played Academy games and the players they're coming up against.

They're concerned about them playing three games in a week at a far greater intensity than they're used to.

Controversial I know, but I'm finding it hard to have any sympathy for them. They're simply not fit for purpose. It might only be the third division but, it's a professional league at the end of the day.

Same, they were struggling when we were in the championship yet survived and took Barnsley's place in the league.

I do feel for their proper fans though. It must be awful to see that happen to your club.

I feel for the fans and have a little sympathy for the young players but it's not for Bolton to decide to postpone the game , shocking that they never even consulted either the EFL or Doncaster Rovers, can see another points deducation coming their way if the EFL have the balls to do it at the very least the 3 points should be awarded to DRFC

Shame what’s happening. Had some good days out at Bolton. Are the Warburtons family still involved?

They should have been under the same conditions as Bury, and not allowed to start the season until they ad a proper squad sorted.

If you effectively put them into the freezer for the rest of this season, then without any income, they'd have no alternative but to go into liquidation.

Bit of a contradiction there.

Funnily enough they weren't worried about the 'integrity' of their competition when they forced us to play Coventry with no senior players in the team.

They're f**king useless.

Jesus wept.

Have a look at the last few years accounts on companies house , if the truth be known you should have called in the administrators years ago man.

In legal terms there is no difference, one limited company v another limited company, both insolvent and trading at a loss with massive debts.

Take away the emotion of you and others being football fans of your club , you’d admit the trading company is / was a hopeless case.

Look at the facts , keep the emotion out of the argument.

Unfortunately there will be plenty of clubs teetering on the edge .

Maybe so but serious error in not talking to efl and Doncaster before making an announcement. In fact it could be straw that breaks camel back especially if things don’t change quickly cos you’re saying u can’t play any midweek games at all
