Jack Ross Record

SAFCmal

Central Defender
As he goes into his 50th League game this week Ross has only lost five of them., he also took the team to a Wembley final in the process. It's also generally agreed that he took over a rapidly sinking ship that was described by some as a 'basket case' of a club.

As the Manager Sack race starts in earnest (note Huddersfield on Friday) I suspect a lot of Chairman and owners would look at that record with interest. Surely it's time to be grateful for what we"ve got?

Not perfect, but some people need to be careful what they wish for

I just wanted to say good luck, we're all counting on you.

My only issue is our form deteriorated last season, we had started out poorly and picked up in the second half of the season he would have far more support.
It’s difficult to see much progression as it stands imo.

I disagree with the rapidly sinking ship bit. Fair enough we were on the back of 2 relegations but had new ownership etc & assembled a squad that had Oviedo, Cattermole, McGeady, McLaughlin, Maja. Wolves had back to back relegations then stormed it in league 1 too.

Realistically I don’t think we could have finished any lower than we did last season. There’s too much quality in the side to not win games. The amount of times we go behind and the level of performance tells me more about the manager than anything else.

I’m still JR positive atm but he makes it very difficult. Plus I don’t get to many games  , if I did I may well feel different.
I set a lot of store by mates I’ve been watching with for over 40yrs and they’re feeling similar. But he’s got to be more proactive. SAFC should be steamrollering 3/4 of the teams in this division at the SOL.....and a lot of em at their own place anarl.

His total record is played 50, lost 5, drew 22, won 23. With the best team, budget and club in the division. Ask yourself - would Bayern, Barca, ajax, Celtic, all be happy with that record? They are equally as above their divisions as we are, but wouldn’t have won many titles with records comparable to that

The 'sack Ross' movement is laughable, as to disagree that this club was a 'rapidly sinking ship's. Christ, people have short memories. When we came down to league 1 this club was a basket case emotionally, financially and everything else. It felt even worse than the mid 80's to me because we actually looked like we could go under.
We really have to stop this endless round of sacking managers after one full season, its madness. He's done ok in the face of huge odds really, and deserves at least another season with full backing. Tin hat on, and this won't suit the hate brigade I know, but I'm sure the vast majority of real fans want him to have a chance to succeed here.

I said I would give him 10 games this season before making long-term judgement...it didn't start well for sure but let's just wait and see. The new players are looking like quality additions with a couple more to come and the start is quite good.Lets get behind them aye?

hes done OK so far in fairness. Not great but OK. He certainly needs to buck up his ideas if we are to get out of this league any time soon, but it would be harsh to sack him.

His contract surely wouldn't be renewed of he doesn't get us up this season but as long as he is there or there abouts he should be given a shot at doing it.

To say we are so far above this division as Celtic are theirs is eithet Magesque self delusion, mental abberation or utterly clueless cuntism of the highest order.
