Portsmouth fans today

There's something not right about you and I say that as someone who's been on this forum since it began.

I've seen dozens like you come and go once they've been sussed.
him and sidewinder nailed on...always qualify it by adding ''i hate the bastards''
I’ve been going 20 year, it should t matter what division it is. If it does then fuck off and support Man City!
so 29k is shit support? youre an idiot, not only that a filthy mag idiot, now fuck off
All the way from Portsmouth! our nearest game is over 100 miles away and 29000 Sunderland supporters in the third division is outstanding.

This is going to be unpopular I feel, but after the game my wife and me were walking across the car park, heading to the Howard, there were 2 hard lads in their mid 20s baiting 4 Pompey fans in their late teens. Calling them all the c@nts under the sun, and offering to fight them, the Sunderland fans had 3 kids of about 10 years old in tow, and it was absolutely embarrassing.
My missus called them out and got a gobfull back.
It got pretty tense between us 2 and fellow Sunderland fans for a ofew minutes.
Having followed the lads for over 40 years I've seen a lot but, not when I'm with a woman.
Every club has their arsreholes unfortunately, and we are no different.
However back on track Portsmouth were loud from our seats on the halfway line, but it's the first time in a long time that people around us were clapping and singing, it has been overall a great day.j

There was a group that sounded the same at the front of the north stand. Was quite shocked at the scatter behaviour, the dad was telling his kids to turn around after each goal and decision and giving the fingers to the Pompey fans, whilst doing that stupid thing football fans do where they pick on one opposition fan and offer them out from the safety of the other side of a dividing line of police, or in his case about 200 foot of concrete. I’ve never seen a football fan get so angry at his own team scoring before, was quite bizarre - so bizarre in fact that I found I had to watch him and detract from my own celebrations.
You must be deaf then, they did more singing than us

Up until 1-1 I’d agree. Don’t think I heard them after that.

I’ve been a season ticket holder 20 year. Our support is good but I thought it was a good effort from Pompey today and as a football fan I found the criticism of those who made the journey uncalled for.

It seems to me that criticism of the players/ manager/ board is fair game on here, but when you say anything about the fans people can’t take it.

There's a certain aspect of 'reap what you sow' in my opinion.

A lot of decent people, at Wembley, were verbally abused and goaded by Portsmouth and I predicted it would cause a retribution.

Expect the same when Coventry return.

Attended my first game in 1993. Find the post where I said it was shit. I just said that considering there was a fair few empty seats in our end and not much atmosphere to speak of people have a bit of a cheek criticising real football fans who have traveled the length of the country for a televised game just because they didn’t sing a lot.

You see, that's just idiotic and the kind of thing an away supporter might say.

Where was the first game you attended in 1993?
