Grigg man, ffs ...

He's frustrating. If there's a sniff of a chase towards goal he's interested and was probably once after he came on. I'm sure if we got the ball in the box often he'd do well as he looks like an opportunist poacher and that's where all his Wigan goals seemed to happen but we don't do that often enough and can't afford the luxury, but he's a striker who is pretty limited in terms of pace/physique and doesn't exactly put himself out around the pitch, though he was back making a clearance a bit earlier.

More frustrating for me is just how lackadaisical and powder puff he is - I mean you aren't going to change a player lacking real physique at 28 into a bustling centre forward, but come on. Never a Sunderland player in a million years.
But...but...we're not playing it to his strengths.

What strengths are they?

Ball in box, opportunist. Seemingly nothing more to offer. Wrong player for both team and club IMO.

In the warm up before the game he scored every shot right and left foot. Corners every time. Everyone else had some gan miles wide or straight at the keeper. Don't think it's confidence, there's just no desire whatsoever. Put the ball down in front of him and he will score. Expect him to get in the end of owt, or make anything movement or anything happen and he's not interested.

He was bald hearted in trying to hold the ball up. Your right he's never seemed interested. Wyke is miles ahead at the minute.

There’s being low on confidence in front of goal (all strikers go through dry spells) then theres holding back, not running, pressing, moving into space. He’s a nobody with a chip on his shoulder. Needs moving on.

Needs peddling before the window.

I’m sure Steve from Wallsend would play to his ‘strengths’ in January if he’s still here then.

... do yourself a favour.

92 minutes, you're fresh on and Portsmouth are passing it along their back line.

So you're strolling between them with no urgency when we're defending a slender lead.

Your manager has put his neck on the block by defending you, including you and putting you on the pitch.

And the supporters clapped you onto the pitch which, on recent displays, you've barely deserved.

If you don't want to be here just spit it out and we can have you gone in January.

Total utter fraud

He should have been fresh as a daisy coming on with just a few minutes to go against tired defenders. He needs to put the effort in otherwise it will turn nast for him.
Massive difference between him and wyke in how they were chasing lost causes and trying to put pressure on portsmouths back line, he was only on the pitch for 10 minutes....really starting to get disappointed with him as effort should be the bare minimum you can give form or no form.
Wyke had a very good game. He put himself about and the defenders knew they were in a game. Grigg needs to watch and learn.

Anyone think when Stewart Donald goes round the supporters clubs doing his Q&A there should be 2 players attend each time, on a rota basis, so the fans can have some contact to.put points over to the players?

I cringe watching him. Plonkers like us would give our left knacker to pull in the shirt for 10 minutes and he simply can’t be fucked

Charlie Wyke was everything Grigg wasn't today.
iirc when charlie wyke first came he didn't exactly enamour himself to the fans. since he's started to put a bit of effort in he's even getting a cheer when he comes on now. there's nothing that gets me wound up more than someone who doesn't appear to give a shit. i think wyke has been really good recently and the back end of last season, perhaps he's just one of those confidence players and i hope grigg will prove to be the same.

Disgrace.
Doesn't want to be here, #### off or get with the programme.
