But that ball to Bancroft was vintage McGrath - perfect line, nip back down the slope at the Pavillion end, close to the stumps = lbw.
Jof did all that but at 92mph. Fuck me, imagine McGrath type lines - and he gets close enough to the stumps and has more control than McGrath did at the same age, so can work on that too - but at 90mph. This player is special.
In his interview the other day he was adamant he was a line bowler not an enforcer. Root needs to understand this - sure he can hit the deck if you want, but a deadly fast line bowler is so much better. So Root needs to grow up and captain accordingly.
Would like the odd yorker on leg stump, even if he edges it away, it will make him wary of walking across his stumps all the time.
