mass changes needed in the red ball game this is awful. Embarrassing pray for rain Australia will be batting the last session today.

Australia have just mixed up a nagging line outside off with ripping fast stuff into the ribs at the other end. Simple stuff, you get bogged down against one you get out taking on the other.

Their preparation for this series looks way ahead of ours tbf
We didn't have any preparation, put all our summer eggs in the world cup basket.

Honestly we are a f***ing joke in test cricket now. Rarely do home nations lose a series in test cricket, but we are giving it a good go. Warning signs have been there for a while

England have either come into this series criminally under-prepared or stupidly over-confident in their ability to deal with the Aussie bowling attack. That's down to the coaches and the batsmen themselves.

Did they really expect the Aussies to become Mitchell Johnson scatter-guns once they hit our shores? Surely they learned something from the last Ashes series Down Under about the approach the Aussie bowlers would take.

They seem to have forgotten the basics of batting in time cricket - Occupy the crease and wear down the opposition bowling attack until you can let your stroke-makers loose on the combination of the old ball and tired bowlers.
