The so called 39th game being pushed by media.

Absolutely blatant push for it on radio by that buffoon Jim White. Has the game not been sold off enough?
They are now advocating it’s not fair for the customers in Australia, USA and the Far East not having easy access to their premier league favourite teams live games. When questioned how unfair it would be on season and life long attending fans missing out on the deciding game the reply was a flippant ‘well they could travel or watch it on the TV’. It’s not a proper league competition if they did it. Bonkers.

Natalie Sawyer argued against it brilliantly and won hands down but the out of touch ex player Jamie ???? was inexplicably all for it too. The corporations own the game at the top level now and it’s going down the pan big time. Can’t wait to find out the next zany and mad money making idea they implement next.

Had on.... Have you missed the point where Jim white provokes listeners, listeners take the bait and react by ringing in on TS premium cost lines.... Talksport is the winner, Jim White get's more bonus!

39th game was a crap idea, but a team will shift a fixture to the US eventually.

If we were in the premier league, then we should have pushed to be the first club.

Don't let it get to you mate.

Has a league football fixture been moved to another country before? I know that South American final was, but that was obviously a cup game under extreme circumstances. Seem to remember a Spanish team trying it and failing.

This. OP has been baited. Every talkshow has someone that goes the other way to cause an argument, otherwise it wouldn't be interesting. I doubt Jim White actually believes what he is saying.

Barcelona vs Getafe(?) was going to be played in America but they called it off after seeing sense.

While I wouldn't ever rule out the Premier League doing something like this, the expansion and seeming permanence of the preseason tournaments in the States and Far East to me looks like the 'top six' clubs treat these as more important than domestic cup games. Job done for overseas audiences.

I am not that interested in the PL and lost interest over the years. Leave our game alone. No doubt some useless individual with a marketing degree from Dogger Bank University called Quentin Magentum Xavier will say it is a lovely idea that Daddy talked about at the Weekend Shoot with his chums over early morning gins.

Sackless gets should stick to supporting their own local teams in order to boost their own domestic games.

Of course it's going to happen at some point. The media, TV companies and the premier league will bring it into the mainstream debate more and more which will then grind down the opposition making it look like it's what fans really want...

Why? We're meant to be a representation of the local area, not New Orleans. I'd rather play at home than go abroad and sell 5,000 shirts to some Yank plastics.

Absolute two fingers to our match going support if they ever do this.
