Portsmouth sold 800 tickets for sat

I dont think anyone was complaining we wouldn't have enough tickets, we were never going to sell out for a midday kickoff the other end of the country on live TV.

It was more the fact the club made a specific example of us (and Coventry) when every other club in the league with smaller grounds and less facilities doesnt have an issue. Even then, it was fair comment after what happened last few games.

That is a complete and utter falsehood, it was NOT SAFC who place the limitation on the number of tickets you could have it was the local authority responsible for issuing safety certificates for the ground. Stop perpetuating false news

Your fans were complaining in response to being given 2k, some were arguing that our allocation for Fratton should be reduced. Canny sad really considering we didn't cause any trouble and were very well behaved.
Is that the Wemb'ley' that is about 1.5-2 hours away from them and the match was a cup final??

No mate, he means the Wembley Stadium that's located in Inverness.

They should have boycott the game. It's their longest away of season and Sky move it to 12:30pm. Setanta did the same with us for an away game to Portsmouth. Moved it to a Monday night.

Out of their 2000 allocation not surprising like considering the KO time
Ko time has nowt to do with it I'd have thought. Used to regularly travel weekenders from pompey to Seaham and back again. You could do that trip on a sat morning easy if you set off around half 5 six with time to spare. It's around 310 miles so even averting 60 it's a five hour drive.

So they Loose 39k for an extra 4hours travel....

This is there Wembo u clot....

Can't believe I'm wasting my time with you.

It's not just an extra 4 hours travel, is it? The final kicked off at 2.30pm so most of their fans would be able to leave the house at around 10.30am, still have time for a few drinks and be back home by 8pm at latest. To come up here for a Saturday 12.30pm kick off they'd have to be up and out 3/4am for a coach or drive up the night before and incur hotel costs etc and not get home until circa 11pm. One hell of a difference.

And like f**k is this their Wemb'ley'!!!

40k to wembo though?
I imagine you'd take more to Wembley than a daytime kickoff at Fratton, tbf. Long way for a 1-1 draw.

But you wanted 5000 tickets for the semi and didn't you not even sell out the allocation?
Dont think anyone with any sense was asking for 5k. I didn't think we'd sell out for the semi.

Dont disagree, never said it was my view, just that it was a reason why people would feel aggrieved. Most fans dont bother looking into the bureaucracy of local authorities.
