Off to Benidorm

My mate has had an apartment there for years and loves it. We had a good catch up last weekend in the Dun Cow in Durham. He flies back on Thursday. 😎

It's a laugh. You wouldn't take your family there for a holiday I don't think, but for you and your mates it's just a good laugh. Decent enough bars, lovely beach. Free shots for just walking in some of the bars, loads of tribute acts, loads of acts to give you a laugh. Certainly worth going.
Thousands of families go every year, there's water parks and terra mittica etc ,a great beach and great hotels .The mad strip is a few hundred yards of a massive resort

Me and the lass (no) just booked for 4 days next week for a little cheap piss up break.

Whos been before and whats the best stories yous have....surely there must be a few

(also if anyone has been, any recommendations?)
Went in July this year for the 3rd time. This is the only time I remember most of it. The other times I've been mostly paralytic.

With your lass I'd stay away from the daft lads strip and head to the seafront and old town. Unless you want to see strippers, 16 year olds puking, birds dancing with boobies out and grown adults engaging in sexy times in the street 😉
It's great if you visit the right part. If the new town isn't your thing, (it's not mine), then it is hell. If you like quaint and Spanish, there are loads of side streets in the "real" old town that are lovely. The surrounding areas, (Albir and Altea) are beautiful and are a €1.50 bus ride and a world away.

Too many people go to the new town and think that that's all Beni has to offer.

StickyStar is all over the new town. You'll see her posters everywhere. If that's your thing then the sex on segway show is also a must, as well as the dwarf sex show.

There are some great tribute acts here, depending on your musical tastes. Benidorm Tom (Jones) is legendary. He's on at Talk Of The Coast nightly at 9pm, followed by a Manc comedian called Jimmy Bright.

I can be seen all over town doing various shows but I wouldn't recommend any of them.

Enjoy.
Altea is great, we saw the dwarf show in Chaplins 😂😂 wtf

There's a good chunk of people who are decent hard working but feel a bit intimated by posh resorts/hotels/dining etc and I suppose Beni is very inclusive .Its also canny posh in places and very popular with lots of Spaniards .

Old town is class, Pig and Whistle is decent for a drink, Tapas Alley is class to pick your way down as well.

People will tell you it’s scratter heaven, and it is, but it’s also what you make of it!

Enjoy mate!

Couldn't have said it any better , there is something for everyone. Lots and lots of Spaniards on a weekend

As you're a rocker, incidentally, if you go to the Lavante beach, up your end, there's Heartbreak bar that has a fantastic ACDC tribute on a couple of nights a week. Well worth seeing. There's A Pink Floyd tribute too but I haven't seen them cos I'd rather gouge out my eyes than listen to that shite.
Both sound good to me. Are you still impersonating Mrs. Slowcombe?

The Western Saloon, on the main street have some great light rock acts on. Chris Chronos is a cracking fella and particularly good.
If you catch him, ask him to do Sound Of Silence. Frighteningly good. Tell him Cameron told you to ask him.

Something like that.

In seriousness, I do an 80's show, a tribute to the music of Vince Clarke, a comedy/vocal show and a Robbie tribute.

Better than working for a living, marra.
