Agree with this but in the absence of credible alternatives he is worth a shot. Warner managed to transform himself from limited overs specialist to one of the best test openers around and hopefully Roy can replicate that. I do have my doubts however.

i agree he might adapt but the ashes isnt the time to learnFor me Roy is a natural talent. Let's stick with him and let him grow and develop in red ball. He has many years ahead of him. No-one else stands out atm.
