Honeyman to Hull?

I think this makes our midfield look a lot more balanced.

Squad starting to look like a completely new set of lads also. Only really Gooch and Watmore left from the PL debacle.

It sounds like it wasn't Ross who made the decision to sell and was taken by surprise. Also looks like we will be bringing a LB and not another forward player.

Really, you think he's that good a crosser of a ball?

I'd rather have him central, got a good hit on him, bit of vision and draws fouls with his shithousery.
I think he's better than the alternatives we have on the wing, Watmore, Gooch etc have more pace but their delivery isn't as good as Maguire's from what I remember seeing. Mcgeady is on a different level obviously. Either way we certainly have more than enough options so that Honeyman won't be a huge loss.

Surely that's just standard fair ie: "we didn't expect a bid" rather than the player was sold without my knowledge. Some people on here want to turn everything into a drama/reason to criticize.
Maybe but it sounds like the plan (for Ross anyway) was to keep Honeyman but they accepted a bid.

You do this constantly man. Stop looking for the most negative take on everything.

Well one of the main reasons we didn't go up was because we struggled massively to create chances, he was playing in one of the main chance creating roles........
Not defending him but I consider the main reason we didn't go up was our inability to keep clean sheets. Using your logic you could say the keeper was the one of the main issues for not being promoted as he didn't keep enough clean sheets - which is obviously not true. You cant blame not going up on one individual.

I'm looking at how it is.

We hadn't planned to sell him and then we got a bid and accepted it. How is that negative? We need to cut the wage bill and bring are doing a 1 in 1 out. It sounds to me we had sell someone to bring in another. Which we already knew.

The bid came as a surprise man

He clearly meant he wasn’t expecting anyone to come in for him - it was out of the blue in that respect

He addressed the one in one out thing in the press conference too - he said “people have taken that literally” but he clearly implied it was a rough idea to do with the size of the squad, rather than any very tight wage restrictions...
